Read-through was on Sunday, and it was a blast! It was so nice outside that we went around front of the theatre and rehearsed there! I even have a photo, taken by another cast member:
Starting Left is one of our directors, then Sacha(youngest, kind prince), some ladies of the court(and the Lady in Waiting hiding in there), and Natalia(Sacha's wife, the Frog Princess)(me)
The rest of the cast is over to the side, in this photo:
Here we have, left to right, a gentleman of the kingdom, Vassilissa(Casimir's wife, very spoiled), Casimir(the middle Prince, who can talk anyone into anything), another director, Queen Natasha(who is retiring and choosing a new King), Boris(the oldest Prince, the warrior)(also a director), and another lady of the kingdom. Missing is Ursula(Boris's wife, very strong), our Cook, and our Guard/Tutor(my dad), as well as our Storyteller, since he took these!
It was a lot of fun, and it's going to be a lot of fun playing Natalia in frog form!

My 'frog skin' will be a hooded cloak with frog eyes on top, underneath a dress for when I change to my human form. In an "only in theatre" moment, while reading the script last night, I realized how often I'm led on a 'golden leash' in this show!

My favorite scene, and the one I'm sure I'll be teased most in, is the Grand Ball, while still a frog, I sit in a basin, and Sacha feeds me (gummy) worms and bugs throughout the meal! It'll be great! Good thing I like gummies!

A read through outside? Thats really cool!
@AlterEgo909 - It was really cool!! It was my first ever outside rehearsal at all, and it was pretty neat, people walking by probably thought we were nuts though
It was so gorgeous outside, the director just said "grab a chair, we're going out front!" (plus the heat inside wasn't working, and it was still very cold inside)
Lucky, it was below freezing this morning for me :(
@OctavoDia - It was gorgeous Sunday, but yesterday and today it was sunny, but with a chilly breeze. Certainly not freezing though! I'm glad I don't live near you!
