I've been fairly busy with the play, and trying to get a job(which I might be close to!). So I apologize about the lack of updates. Also, I'm not finding as much inspiration as I'd like.
Anyway, as far as the play goes, we've been busy rehearsing. I'm off book now, with only a couple instances of calling for lines. A few of us walked around in costume at a local Spring festival, I was the one who stayed in costume the whole day, then finally gave into the 90 degree heat and got some clothes out of the loft backstage. My costume is a full-length, long-sleeved dress with velvet bodice, it's VERY warm! It was a lot of fun though, the kids were just so awestruck with seeing a 'princess' it was adorable!
Tonight, some of the cast are going to the local elementary school's family night, to introduce ourselves in character and talk about the show. It should be fun!
Here's a couple photos from the Bud & Bug Festival, where I was in costume:
In the first one my eyes are closed, but it gives you an overall view of the costume.

You're so pretty
Have fun!
@randaness - aww, thank you! I think the dress and crown help
It's been a blast, I'm excited for tonight!
@Child_of_the_Earth - It's a really cool idea to go out and talk about the show in character; it sounds great.
@randaness - Originally we were going to perform a scene, but we ended up not having all the people in any given scene available, so we're doing it this way. It's more like improv now, it'll be a blast!
@Child_of_the_Earth - Yeah, I love improv! That was actually one of the exercises we did in my high school drama class... talking about ourselves and answering questions in character. It was the best!
@randaness - My first improv experience was on the last show I did, and I didn't want to do it, I was so nervous and freaking out, I was afraid I'd suck, but it turned out I loved it, I wanted more, lol.
Looks and sounds like it will be a fun play...good luck
@godfatherofgreenbay - it's a blast, and kids are so into it! I've never done a kid-centered show before, it's a fun experience! The next dessert theatre is Rumplestiltskin, and I want to do that too!
